Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, PA. The role focuses on reliable operation of industrial electrical equipment and power systems across North America.

Responsibilities include providing technical support, coordinating vendor repairs, performing power systems analyses, and mentoring maintenance staff to improve plant reliability while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Active PE license preferred.
• Six years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of large industrial plants.
• Knowledge of SKM Power Tools; ETAP experience a plus.
• Familiarity with HV substation equipment, transformers, HV/LV motors and generators.
• Willingness to travel North America 15–20%.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to field personnel on high voltage equipment and systems.
• Respond to electrical equipment problems in company facilities.
• Coordinate vendor repairs on high voltage motors and equipment.
• Issue repair reports for historical documentation.
• Identify engineered solutions to recurring electrical issues.
• Improve plant reliability through data trends and maintenance procedures.
• Lead RCA activities and implement maintenance strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal and national standards when specifying equipment.
• Review and approve engineering documents for plant upgrades.
• Mentor electrical field technicians and operations staff.
