Job summary

Air Products in Allentown, PA, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer/Technician to support reliable operations of industrial electrical equipment across North American facilities. The role reports to the Manager of Electrical Engineering at the Global Headquarters in Allentown.

The position focuses on maintaining high voltage distribution systems, coordinating vendor repairs, and driving maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability. Travel up to 25% across North America is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations and maintenance of large industrial plants.
• Proficiency in programming and bringing together event information from protective relays.
• Experience with HV substation equipment, transformers, HV/LV motors and generators.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to field personnel on high voltage distribution equipment and motors/generators.
• Coordinate vendor shop repairs on high voltage motors for quality assurance.
• Issue repair reports for historical documentation after critical jobs.
• Identify engineered solutions to recurring electrical issues and improve reliability.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
