Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Principal Electric Engineer (HVD Reliability) to lead design and implementation of high voltage distribution projects. The role requires SME-level expertise in subtransmission line design, coordination with Operations, and enterprise-level leadership across multiple programs and policy initiatives.

The engineer will manage projects, mentor engineers, and serve as system owner for HVD lines on the east side of Michigan, with travel to service centers and relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET program or equivalent with PE license.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, control, and implementation of electrical systems and products.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
