Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with healthcare experience to join our Farmington Hills or Grand Rapids, MI team. You will lead electrical, lighting, and building systems design on hospitals, laboratories, and medical office buildings, while mentoring staff and coordinating with diverse project teams.

You will develop design calculations, review deliverables, and support projects from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license or pursuing licensure.
• Healthcare project experience (hospitals/labs/medical offices) preferred.
• Familiarity with NEC, IBC, energy codes, Health Care Facilities Code, Life Safety Code.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as part of multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff.
• Participate in planning, design, and construction phases.
• Design and specify electrical, lighting, and building systems.
• Develop electrical design calculations and analyses.
• Support healthcare facility projects including hospitals and labs.
• Conduct site visits and field investigations.
• Provide construction administration and project support.
• Review deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Manage multiple projects and budgets.
• Draft proposals and define scopes of services.
