Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of complex electrical components and systems (Harness 3D). You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and technicians, mentor junior staff, and serve as the technical lead for specialized projects.

The role requires deep knowledge of electrical and avionic architectures, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure designs meet project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +6 yrs experience)
• 8+ years of related experience
• Specialized expertise in power systems, control systems, EWIS, CD&H, etc
• In-depth knowledge of electrical and avionic systems architectures and their design
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve more complex problems and mentor less experienced engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +6 yrs experience)
• 8+ years of related experience
• Specialized expertise in a particular area (e.g., power systems, control systems, EWIS, CD&H, etc)
• In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards
• Advanced knowledge of electrical and avionic systems architectures and their design
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve more complex problems
• Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced engineers
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation
• Knowledge of systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
• Experience performing trade studies to support subsystem architecture decisions.
• Perform CAM (control account management) duties including collaborating with project managers, functional managers and technical leads
