Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an engineer to design and analyze power supplies for aerospace applications, focusing on efficiency, stability, thermal and EMI. You will create or update schematics and support PCB layout and integration of power electronics, and conduct testing to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, 1 year in electrical engineering and hands-on skills with schematics, PCB layouts, DC-DC power supplies, and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (science, technology, engineering or mathematics).
• 1 year experience in electrical engineering principles with an interest in power supply design.
• Working knowledge of circuit fundamentals, simulation, troubleshooting, and hands-on design/testing ability.
• Proficiency creating electrical schematics, PBA layouts, DC-DC power supplies, measurement equipment and tools.
• Familiarity with the FE exam.

Develop the design and development of power supply design and analysis, including basic efficiency, stability, thermal, and EMI standards for aerospace applications.
Create or update schematics, support for PBA layout, integration, or power electronic circuits. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of power supply design to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of systems integration and project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 1 year experience in electrical engineering principles with an interest in power supply design or related discipline.
• Working knowledge in circuit fundamentals, simulation, troubleshooting, and hands-on design/testing ability.
• Proficiency creating electrical schematics, PBA layouts, DC-DC Power Supplies, measurement equipment, and tools.
• Familiarity with the Electrical and Computer Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
