Job summary

Itron is seeking an electronics hardware engineer to design, analyze and test electrical components for residential to industrial applications. You will define system architecture, develop specifications for analog and digital modules, and support production release.

The role requires hands-on PCB design, hardware verification, and collaboration across firmware, mechanical and manufacturing teams to optimize cost and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field plus 3 years of experience.
• Experience in full hardware development lifecycle from prototyping to production release.
• Design of analog and digital subsystems including power, microcontrollers and interfaces.
• PCB layout and schematic capture using Cadence, Altium, or EGAD tools.
• Circuit simulation with LTspice or PSpice.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and develop specifications for analog front-end, digital control, power supplies and communications modules.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing and quality to ensure manufacturability and lifecycle support.
• Create/maintain design artifacts, BOMs, test plans, and release to manufacturing.
