Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer (Ground Support Equipment) to design and develop advanced EGSE for space-ground communication systems and test environments in Fort Wayne, IN.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rapid development, and precision in engineering execution. The position requires a strong background in electrical design and testing, with opportunities to work on spacecraft payloads and integration activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or 8 years total experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience designing ground support equipment or space electronics preferred.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop EGSE and automated test systems for space payloads.
• Design simulation environments for spacecraft buses and interfaces.
• Integrate instrumentation, power, comms, and control hardware.
• Support hardware bring-up and root-cause analysis during testing.
• Document schematics, ICDs, and test reports.
• Collaborate with systems engineering on requirements and test capabilities.
• Drive test architecture improvements across product lines.
