Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Associate, Facilities Engineer focused on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at the Stennis Space Center site.

Responsibilities include verification, servicing, repair, and testing of GSE and MH systems, with an emphasis on maintainability and compliance with industry standards. The role collaborates with design teams to implement operational feedback, uses CMMS for planning and documentation, and requires ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 2+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree allowed with less experience.
• Requires GSE experience and ability to work in a defense environment.
• Knowledge of GSE design software CAD/FEA or similar engineering tools helpful.

Responsibilities

• Verify, inventory, storage, shipment, servicing, inspecting, and repairing of powered and non-powered GSE and MH equipment.
• Provide engineering input during design phases to ensure maintainability and operational efficiency of GSE.
• Author preventive and corrective maintenance instructions (PM/CM) and wiring/assembly guidelines.
• Use CMMS systems to track tasks, inventory, PM/CM, and trend data for assigned equipment.
• Oversee maintenance operations and lifting devices; coordinate with contractors and end users.
• Coordinate shipment of outgoing material with end users and support real property maintenance.
• Must be able to obtain NASA PRP clearance and occasional travel up to 10%.
