Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Palm Bay, FL to contribute to end-to-end electronics design for defense programs. The role covers digital, analog, and mixed-signal design, requiring close collaboration with IPT members across hardware, software, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience is required.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Perform CCA design, specifying mixed-signal technology circuits consisting of A/D, D/A, processors, I/O communications, and programmable logic (FPGA, CPLD) circuits.
• Utilize a thorough understanding of the digital CCA design process, including requirements generation, preliminary design, peer reviews, detailed design, test plan generation, and integration and testing.
• Design circuits incorporating components such as Xilinx FPGAs, TI DSP processors, Freescale or Intel processors, microcontrollers, CPLDs, and volatile/non-volatile memory (DDRx, SRAM, ROM, Flash, etc.).
• Work with board technologies such as HDI, Meg6, and back drilling.
• Design high-speed memory interfaces (DDRx).
• Utilize the schematic software suite used to generate circuit card designs (including schematic capture, constraint-driven layout, simulation, and timing analysis).
• Work independently to generate digital CCA design solutions.
