Job summary

Moog is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Buffalo, NY to support the design, integration and test of automatic flight control systems for unmanned aircraft. You will work across electrical architecture, lab validation, and flight test support in a collaborative aerospace environment.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical design, strong knowledge of power distribution and wiring, and experience with avionics and high‑reliability hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and 5+ years in electrical design, integration and test.
• Experience with avionics or other high‑reliability hardware development.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, signal integrity, and wiring practices.
• Hands‑on debugging in lab and integration environments; ability to read/write schematics and interface documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and integration for automatic flight control system hardware and subsystems.
• Develop architectures, wiring diagrams, harnessing concepts, and interface control documents.
• Define and verify electrical interface requirements across hardware, software and system boundaries.
• Support selection/integration of avionics, sensors, actuators, compute platforms and power systems.
• Build, troubleshoot and validate prototype electrical assemblies and flight‑critical hardware.
• Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing and flight test teams.
