Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks an Electrical Engineer – Level 3 for an on-site role in Sterling, VA. You will work in the Flatsat simulation hardware team, defining requirements, selecting hardware, and integrating the Flatsat System with avionics.

You will design HITL rack components, assemble testbeds, and collaborate with software and systems engineers to ensure successful demonstrations and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, or relevant advanced degrees.
• Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
• Proficient with integrated hardware design and lab test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and select hardware to simulate SV component data and interfaces.
• Design rack, panel, and cable interconnects and schematics for HITL Rack and Testbed.
• Create BOMs, fabrication docs, and guidance for HITL Rack/Testbed.
• Develop certification procedures and troubleshoot hardware including root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with spacecraft subsystem, flight software, systems, and procurement teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
