Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for federal facilities, coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team and serving as Designer of Record. You will ensure quality, accuracy and timely delivery of deliverables.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a BSEE, PE, and proficiency with REVIT and power systems analysis. Hybrid work includes two days in the Arlington office in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license or active registration preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas.
• Experience with DoD/Federal energy standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design projects as Designer of Record (DOR) with schedule and budget responsibility.
• Seal and stamp construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including architects, structural, mechanical and fire protection engineers.
• Gather requirements, interview stakeholders, perform studies and prepare rough layouts.
• Present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Perform energy calculations and prepare compliance documentation.
• Manage RFI and Change Order processes during construction.
