Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design of facility expansion and maintenance capital projects delivered by third-party engineering firms. You will ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, industry codes, and Company standards.

You will collaborate with Project Execution, Operations, Supply Chain and Construction teams, manage budgets and schedules, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline from an accredited university or college.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering system design and commissioning activities.
• Preference is for a Professional Engineer (PE) designation.
• Knowledgeable in 480V systems, motor controls, VFDs, MV switchgear, and power distribution standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with sound technical and business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, execution plans, risk assessments and related documentation.
• Ensure electrical facilities comply with regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements and codes.
• Oversee third-party engineering firms and manage design deliverables to approved budgets and schedules.
• Review drawings, reports, material lists, vendor quotes, and bid evaluations; support procurement with Supply Chain.
• Provide technical support during construction and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, Construction, Shared Services, and external partners to communicate progress and resolve issues.
