Position: Senior Electrical Engineer with project experience in U.S. government facilities.

Location: USA Remote (domestic travel up to 35%).

Role Description

Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the Places Design & Engineering group, focusing on federal agency facility design. The role involves leading electrical discipline across multiple projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready drawings and specifications.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, building codes, safety standards (NFPA, NEC, UFC, UFGS, etc.), and international standards.
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and staffing plans; pursue new project opportunities, leveraging federal agency networks.
• Utilize software such as Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, Etap, and SpecsIntact.
• Conduct site surveys and data collection for power systems, system audits, and client collaboration.
• Design facilities including industrial, commercial, water/wastewater, EV infrastructure, and data centers.

Qualifications & Experience

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 10-15 years of consulting and facility design experience.
• Proven experience producing IFC design packages for federal facilities.
• Professional Engineering licensure in the U.S.; multiple state licenses preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.
