Coulomb Solutions Inc. in Livermore, CA, is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer to drive design, development, and validation of medium‑voltage electrical systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems and EV platforms.

The role covers inverters, converters, wiring harnesses, and power distribution, with emphasis on grid interaction, safety standards (UL1973/UL9540A/UL508), and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver scalable electrification solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in medium-voltage electrical design; 7–10 preferred.
• Experience with BESS, microgrids, and high-power charging systems.
• Familiarity with UL1973/UL9540A/UL508.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, PLECS, Simulink, and MATLAB.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and validate medium‑voltage (12–2000V) subsystems for EV power platforms and stationary energy solutions.
• Specify and integrate components including inverters, converters, PDUs, transformers, charging systems, and batteries.
• Ensure designs comply with UL1973, UL508, UL9540A, and applicable grid codes.
• Perform electrical system calculations: load flow, short‑circuit, thermal, grounding.
• Create technical documentation and support testing/commissioning.
