Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical power system design, analysis, or engineering.
• Experience designing 600 V and below AC power distribution systems, including service entrance, transformers, switchboards and panelboards, feeders, and branch circuits.
• Experience applying the National Electrical Code NFPA 70, including grounding and bonding, conductor ampacity and derating, overcurrent protection, and transformer and raceway requirements.
• Experience performing or reviewing short‑circuit, protective‑device coordination, and arc‑flash studies including IEEE 1584 or NFPA 70E.
• Experience with UPS and battery energy storage systems, standby or mobile generators, or source‑transfer schemes.
• Experience self‑driving complex projects independently and as a technical lead on larger multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Ability to interpret, develop, and analyze electrical single‑line diagrams, panel schedules, and cable schedules.
• Ability to travel to fabrication, test, and deployment sites up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Energy Engineering

Responsibilities

• Analyze electric distribution systems and utility substations to identify gaps between baseline infrastructure and energy requirements of mission owners.
• Design and develop energy-resilient solutions for military installations within distributed generation, smart grid, and microgrid contexts.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams on complex projects and provide technical direction.
• Support energy assurance initiatives to modernize DoD facilities and enable reliable power for critical operations.
