Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support DoD energy resilience initiatives, including distributed generation integration, smart grid, and microgrid projects. You will analyze electric distribution systems and substations, identify gaps, and design resilient energy solutions for military installations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical power system design, analysis, or engineering.
• Experience designing 600 V and below AC power distribution systems, including service entrance, transformers, switchboards and panelboards, feeders, and branch circuits.
• Experience applying the NEC/NFPA 70, including grounding and bonding, conductor ampacity and derating, overcurrent protection, and transformer and raceway requirements.
• Experience performing or reviewing short-circuit, protective-device coordination, and arc-flash studies including IEEE 1584 or NFPA 70E.
• Experience with UPS and battery energy storage systems, standby or mobile generators, or source-transfer schemes.
• Ability to lead complex projects independently and on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to interpret, develop, and analyze electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and cable schedules.
