Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a nuclear engineer to review reactor designs, electrical interconnections, and supporting systems for safe deployment. You will apply engineering depth to guide energy infrastructure decisions affecting mission resilience.

You will work with cross-functional teams to provide regulatory insights, lifecycle cost understanding, and technical validation across projects for national security energy solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with the design and operation of nuclear reactors, steam systems, and associated electrical interconnections.
• Experience assessing nuclear site viability, including utility coordination, land access constraints, and environmental clearance requirements.
• Knowledge of nuclear life cycle costs such as construction, commissioning, O&M, and decommissioning.
• Knowledge of DoE, NRC, and state/federal energy regulations, including licensing and permitting processes.
• Ability to review, compare, and validate vendor technology claims against regulatory, system-integration, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review reactor designs, mechanical and electrical drawings, and supporting systems for safe, feasible deployment.
• Guide multi-million-dollar energy infrastructure decisions with engineering-driven recommendations.
