Job summary

Savannah River National Laboratory seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, fabricate, assemble, test, and deploy a wide range of electronic systems for SRNL and related missions. The role emphasizes leadership in design, development, and deployment, with collaboration across teams and with external partners.

The candidate will work within the Asymmetric Technologies, Cyber Physical Systems team at SRNL, located in Aiken, SC, contributing to safety, security, and cost-effective results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in electrical or computer engineering, 7+ years of experience.
• US Citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Circuit design and simulation experience; microcontroller experience (STM32/ARM Cortex).
• Programming experience in C/C++ or Assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, fabricate, assemble, test, and deploy electronic systems for diverse programs and missions.
• Lead design efforts and provide direction to less senior engineers.
• Collaborate with scientists, researchers, and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Plan, estimate, and schedule technical tasks; ensure safe, secure, timely, and cost-effective outcomes.
• Travel up to 10–15% for professional development and field work.
