Job summary

SR2, a fast-scaling deep-tech company in Oakland, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and deploy hardware powering autonomous systems. You will own embedded electronics from schematic to bring-up, collaborating across perception, control, planning, and comms teams to deliver field-ready solutions.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in EE/CE, 3+ years in embedded design, proficiency with lab tools and Altium Designer, and strong communication skills to operate in fast-moving,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting embedded systems.
• Proficiency with lab equipment and test automation.
• Fluent in Altium Designer or equivalent EDA tools.
• Exceptional communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design embedded control electronics end-to-end: hardware selection, schematic, PCB layout, bring-up, and system integration
• Debug hardware-software boundary issues with strong lab skills (scopes, analyzers, debuggers) and software tools
• Partner closely with mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to ship products from simulation to the field
• Support active deployments and customer-operated hardware in fast-moving environments
• Juggle multiple projects at different maturity stages
