Job summary

Exelon is seeking a seasoned electrical distribution engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for the BGE electric distribution system. The role involves on-site engineering support at multiple service centers, leading complex technical efforts, mentoring junior staff, and delivering cost-effective, standards-based engineering solutions across Exelon's grid infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• MBA or PMP/PMI certification a plus.
• Experience applying engineering standards and codes in electric distribution.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience in related area.
• Ability to lead complex projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise and maintains state-of-the-art credentialing.
• Leads and performs tasks on complex projects with field testing and peer review.
• Evaluates complex technical issues and recommends actions or programs for resolution.
• Plans, writes and performs tasks for documentation deliverables and projects including cost-benefit analyses.
• Provides technical training and mentorship to junior staff.
• Participates in department planning, budgets, and performance monitoring.
• May engage in technical societies to stay current with industry advances.
