Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for the BGE electric distribution system. The role provides onsite engineering support at service centers across the BGE territory and leads complex technical efforts.

You will drive integrated system analyses, budget planning, and strategic recommendations while guiding cross-functional teams and maintaining advanced engineering credentials. Extended hours may be required during storms or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering and PE license required.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise.
• Lead projects with significant financial and operational impact and develop commissioning plans.
• Provide detailed technical training and mentorship to others; support budget planning.
• Coordinate with departments, external contractors and document workflows.
• Participate in design reviews and validate engineering calculations.
