Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer/Engineer for a National Design-Build MEPS Contractor based in Florida. You will develop electrical layouts, drawings, schematics, isometrics, and documentation for large-scale projects, ensuring code compliance and constructability.

The role leads design across bidding, permitting, and construction, coordinating with clients, engineers, and field teams while performing critical electrical calculations and reviews.

Qualifications

• 4-10+ years of relevant electrical design, engineering, or construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local electrical codes.
• Working knowledge of IBC, IECC, and construction safety requirements.
• Strong understanding of electrical equipment, installation methods, and electrical design fundamentals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.

Job Details

As an Electrical Designer/Engineer, you will be responsible for developing electrical layouts, drawings, schematics, isometrics, and supporting documentation for complex construction projects. You will serve as a technical resource throughout the project lifecycle, helping ensure electrical systems are code-compliant, constructible, cost-effective, and aligned with project requirements.
