Job summary

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the Design Engineering organization at the Hanford Site in Richland, WA. The role focuses on delivering electrical designs, calculations, and analyses for production operations and tank farm projects within schedule and budget.

Responsibilities include developing power distribution systems, I&C wiring from P&ID drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and required years of experience.
• Experience requirements vary by grade level: 6–10 years depending on grade.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering designs, calculations, specifications and analyses within project budget and schedule.
• Develop industrial power distribution designs including panels, switchboards, MCCs, PLCs and lighting systems.
• Create instrumentation & control wiring documents from P&ID drawings for fabrication and installation of control panels.
• Interface with suppliers and teammates to produce high-quality design documents.
• Apply IEEE, NFPA and NEMA standards to electrical designs and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
