Job summary

DLR Group is actively seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Los Angeles to lead the design of electrical systems from schematics through construction administration across diverse building types.

You will participate in the design process, prepare detailed drawings and calculations, and coordinate with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines while mentoring junior engineers. The firm emphasizes integrated design and human-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 10+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Perform site investigation surveys and punch list reviews.
• Provide electrical engineering design expertise on large, complex projects.
• Lead project teams and manage team workloads.
• Mentor emerging professional engineers.
