Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Riverside, CA to design electrical systems from schematics through construction administration across diverse building types.

You will lead project teams, mentor engineers, and coordinate with architecture and MEP disciplines to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 10+ years' experience designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Experience with consulting engineering or A/E firm designing power, lighting, and low voltage systems for Commercial, Educational, Sports, Workplace, or Civic projects.
• Experience with BIM, specifically Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Perform site investigation surveys and punch list reviews.
• Provide electrical engineering design expertise on large, complex projects.

Position Summary

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at DLR Group you will be responsible for the design of electrical systems from schematics through construction administration on a wide range of building types. As part of our integrated design teams you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design. You will be responsible for participating in the design process of electrical building systems and preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings and calculations.

The Successful Candidate Will

• Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing low voltage systems such as fire alarm, communications, and/or security.
• Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
• An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think.

$90,000 - $130,000 USD
