Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical infrastructure design for data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will oversee medium- and low-voltage systems, backup power, and electrical studies, acting as Engineer of Record and coordinating BIM with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a PE license and 7-10+ years of relevant experience, with strong client-facing skills and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

PE license is active and in good standing.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
7-10+ years of electrical design experience in data centers or critical facilities.
Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, IEC codes.
Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and BIM tools.
Experience with arc flash, short circuit, load flow, and coordination studies.
Engineer of Record and stamping of drawings required.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Lead design and execution of electrical infrastructure for data centers and mission-critical facilities.
Oversee medium- and low-voltage power distribution and backup power systems.
Perform arc flash, short circuit, load flow, and coordination studies.
Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery.
