Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead electrical design for data center, mission critical, and energy projects. You will work on a high-functioning team and contribute to a culture that promotes professional growth.

You will design electrical systems, perform load calculations, studies, and coordinate with other disciplines. Responsibilities include project planning, scheduling, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with IBC and

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Power engineering or related field.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design.
• Knowledge and experience with the International Building Code (IBC), National Electrical Code, and US design standards.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
• Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team.
• Experience with electrical studies (preferably SKM, E-Tap, Easy Power).
• Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design projects from concept through construction.
• Develop deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Coordinate with owners and designers across multi-discipline teams.
• Oversee electrical studies and load calculations; ensure NEC/IBC compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support QA/QC during design and construction.
