Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Reading, PA seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee the application assessment, proposal, design and documentation of custom communication systems that meet customer specifications. You will work with a team of engineers on complex applications.

You will evaluate customer specs, produce BOMs, fabrication drawings and test procedures, and provide technical support during production and testing, with frequent customer-facing interactions to ensure on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering or similar.
• Experience designing custom communication systems to customer specs.
• Ability to interact with customers and translate requirements into technical work.
• Experience generating and reviewing technical documentation, BOMs, drawings, and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer specifications and feasibility of system integration.
• Provide preliminary material/labor cost estimates and participate in project meetings.
• Produce BOMs, fabrication drawings, wiring diagrams and installation procedures.
• Develop test procedures and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing with client.
• Support procurement, production, and testing of custom products; implement design changes as needed.
