Job summary

TAI seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer / SME to lead design and delivery of complex electrical projects in New Castle, Delaware. You will mentor design teams, collaborate with clients and engineers, and develop high-quality construction documents.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of electrical design, 3+ years in Pharma/Biotech/Life Science, and strong knowledge of NEC, LEED, ASHRAE, IECC, IGCC energy codes. Generous benefits and dynamic work environment offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • PE licensure is a plus.
  • Minimum of eight years electrical design experience for diverse projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years in Pharma/Biotech/Life Science projects.
  • Experience on labs, datacenters, or hospitals preferred.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Electrical Power and Building Services systems.
  • Extensive experience with electrical drawings: single lines, grounding, lighting, fire alarm, comms, security.
  • Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and energy codes (LEED/ASHRAE/IECC/IGCC).
  • Experience with generator sizing software (e.g., SKM, Easypower, ETAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex electrical engineering projects.
  • Mentor and direct design team members.
  • Develop and review engineering specs and project cost estimates.
  • Coordinate project documents and ensure scope alignment.
  • Review CAD drawings and construction documents for accuracy.
  • Interact with clients and design professionals to gather requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with codes and standards in all designs.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to integrate building systems.
