Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• Engineer in Training Certification preferred.
• Experience with infrastructure planning and design for rehabilitation and new projects.

Responsibilities

• Determine well-defined methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data relating to electrical distribution components and equipment specifications.
• Review and advise on third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans.
• Perform professional and complex electrical engineering work for single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical distribution layouts.
• Incorporate future-ready techniques and design requirements with equipment sizing and cabling and conduit design strategies for safety and usability.
• Support senior engineers with research and recommendations of components and field equipment applications.
• Verify site characteristics and provide technical input on engineering, testing, maintenance, and construction procedures.
• Develop calculations for loads, short-circuit studies, protection coordination, and one-line diagrams.
• Develop Basis of Design narratives for expansions, renovations, and project scope.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates; coordinate with owners, disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver project work on multiple concurrent projects.
