Job summary

OHM Advisors, the Community Advancement firm, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead commercial facility designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and IT systems. You will collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors across multiple states, ensuring QA from concept to field inspection.

The role requires a PE license, a 10+ year track record in electrical design for commercial buildings, and proficiency with MS Office and design tools like AGI, EasyPower,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Michigan.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings, including lighting, power, fire alarm, and IT systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AGI, EasyPower or SKM preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project team members, clients, contractors, and technical experts on project-related matters.
• Utilize tools such as Bluebeam Studio, Excel, MasterSpec, and MS Word for effective communication and documentation.
• Ensure quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
• Manage projects from preliminary engineering to final design, construction documents, and field inspection.
• Willingness to travel for local and regional projects.
