Job summary

OHM Advisors in Michigan seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead commercial facility designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms and IT systems. You will collaborate with project teams, clients and contractors to ensure QA across all project phases.

A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, a Michigan PE license, and 10+ years’ experience are required, with proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Michigan.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings (lighting, power, fire alarm, IT).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AGI, EasyPower, or SKM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project team members, clients, contractors, and technical experts on project-related matters.
• Utilize Bluebeam Studio, Excel, MasterSpec, and MS Word for communication and documentation.
• Ensure quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
• Manage projects from preliminary engineering to final design, construction documents, and field inspection.

What You Will Contribute To OHM Advisors

As a licensed Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to manage and execute commercial facility designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and IT systems. You’ll use software tools such as AGI, Bluebeam Studio, REVIT, Excel, and SpecLink, ensuring quality assurance throughout all project phases. With expertise in power distribution for water and wastewater treatment facilities, you’ll drive innovative solutions and ensure compliance with industry codes. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute to team success will be key to delivering high‑quality results.

Your Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electrical systems for water/wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
