Job summary

Abbott is seeking an Electrical Engineer I/II or Senior Engineer for the Heart Failure team, focusing on CardioMEMS development. You will work on next-generation components while supporting current products, collaborating with R&D, regulatory, and manufacturing to improve patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes designing reliable electro-mechanical systems, RF considerations, and rigorous test plans in a dynamic, global organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or biomedical engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years designing, testing, manufacturing or engineering support.
  • Experience owning and driving deliverables in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications across levels of the organization.
  • Ability to plan, execute, analyze and document studies.
  • Ability to collect, organize and analyze data using statistics.
  • Experience releasing electro-mechanical designs or ECAD.
  • Knowledge of RF antennas (low frequency) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a team delivering CardioMEMS products to patients and clinicians.
  • Draft test protocols and reports for regulatory submission.
  • Improve CardioMEMS electronic designs continuously.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute activities to meet project goals.
  • Support design reviews and risk management documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA/ISO regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
