Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver advanced electrical system solutions for diverse projects while collaborating with PMs, estimators, and field staff.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliant design practices across power distribution, building controls, lighting, and low‑voltage systems. Local travel and Columbus office support are involved.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in OH, KY, IN, or ability to gain reciprocity.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office products.
• Experience performing or supporting arc flash studies and infrared thermography inspections.
• General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
• Experience using CAD programs like Revit, AutoCAD.
• Ability to travel up to 40% locally, and provide on-site support in the Columbus office.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate information and analyze problems to develop effective solutions.
• Serve as SME technical resource for electrical design, retrofits, repairs, and replacement projects.
• Conduct field audits of electrical equipment to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare engineered drawings, equipment selections, and reports in a timely manner.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and develop new ones.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, superintendents, and other engineering disciplines.
• Develop relationships with customers' facility managers, project managers, or purchasing agents.
• Ensure knowledge of products, codes, and design criteria through continuing education.
