Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with building services expertise for a hybrid role based in East London, Eastern Cape. You will lead electrical design for commercial, industrial and residential projects, ensure compliance with SANS and OHS, and mentor junior engineers.

The role emphasizes energy efficiency, coordinating with architects and MEP teams, reviewing submittals, and delivering projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA or eligibility is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in building services.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and DIALux.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of electrical systems for buildings (power, lighting, fire, security).
• Prepare drawings, schematics, specs, and calculations with industry tools.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS, OHS Act, and related regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, structural and MEP teams to integrate systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and review submittals and RFIs on site.
• Perform energy-efficiency analyses and propose sustainable solutions.
