Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer to assist in the design, assembly, and testing of autonomous maritime products for defense, marine research, and commercial applications.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, develop automated test fixtures, read blueprints, and perform quality inspection using calipers and micrometers. Requirements include 9+ years with a Bachelor's, 7 with a Master's, or 4 with a PhD/JD, and eligibility for government clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• 7 years with a Master's degree.
• 4 years with a PhD or JD.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
• Experience in R&D and multi-disciplinary product development teams.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
• Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of electrical system requirements into optimized methods for assembly, testing, and maintenance.
• Support the development of automated test fixtures.
• Perform quality inspection and control using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and visual inspection.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary product development teams.
• Participate in architecting platform electrical and power systems.
• Design, simulate, prototype, test, and maintain production-mature circuit card assemblies.
• Perform other electrical engineering duties as assigned.
• Electrical engineering expertise.
• Experience in research and development (R&D).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
