Job summary

Henderson Scott is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for an aerospace and defense client in Torrance. The role focuses on owning hardware from requirements to production across analog, digital and embedded systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with software, firmware, mechanical and systems teams, and ensure compliant designs for demanding aerospace environments. Mostly onsite with limited hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

Senior Electrical Engineer with aerospace/defense experience
Experience mentoring junior engineers
Hands-on ownership of hardware from requirements to production
Strong background in analog, digital, embedded electronics for aerospace/defense environments
Experience with design reviews, issue resolution and cross-team collaboration

Responsibilities

Design and develop complex electrical/electronic systems across concurrent projects
Own hardware hardware from requirements through schematic, bring-up, qualification and production
Work across analog, digital, embedded and mixed-signal electronics
Design and qualify electronics for aerospace/defense environments
Support design reviews, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Collaborate with software, firmware, mechanical and systems teams
