Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Arresting Systems / ESCO in Aston, PA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and integrate aircraft arresting electrical and control systems. The role covers hardware and software domains, with on-site work and a focus on power/control circuit design, PLC-based control, and HMI interfaces.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience, with defense/aerospace background preferred and a US citizenship requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Defense or aerospace experience preferred.
• Familiarity with industry standards for electrical engineering processes.
• Proven success taking control/electrical systems from concept through design, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Experience with SCADA and NI-based control and data acquisition systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot hardware/software.
• Strong communication skills for technical discussions with engineering, management, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical and control system architectures: hardware, software, communication, and interfaces based on requirements.
• Develop and maintain system-level specifications and interface/control documents.
• Design electrical power and control circuits for new production systems.
• Build proof-of-concept prototypes and lead hardware/software integration.
• Transition designs to manufacturing with complete design packages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and verify system, hardware, and software requirements.
• Influence architectural standards, reusable frameworks, and system engineering best practices.
