Job summary

CircuitHire is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to own the end-to-end design and development of advanced electronics hardware for communications technology. You will contribute to high-density, FPGA-based hardware, implementing high-speed interfaces and ensuring robust verification and compliance.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the product lifecycle, from schematic capture to testing, while shaping next-generation space and defense communications hardware.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on electronics hardware design experience.
• Strong proficiency with high-speed digital interfaces (Ethernet, USB, PCIe).
• Experience with FPGA-based hardware and complex, high-density PCBs.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the end-to-end design and development of advanced electronics hardware for truly class-leading communications technology.

Our client is fast-growing company developing advanced communications for Space and Defense applications, and they are scaling to meet the demand. You’ll be designing high-density, digital electronics hardware incorporating high-speed interfaces, contributing to innovative products that push the boundaries of communications technology.

You’ll be responsible for the design, development and verification of electronics hardware, including:

• Component selection and technical evaluation
• Schematic capture, circuit simulation and analysis
• PCB design, layout and design reviews
• Power supply design
• Design verification, validation and testing
• Supporting product compliance and ensuring designs meet relevant regulatory and industry standards
• Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle

Required Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in electronics hardware design
• Proven experience with high-speed digital design, including technologies such as Ethernet, USB and PCIe
• Experience designing complex, high-density electronics and FPGA-based hardware
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
