Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in electrical engineering and/or power systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical certifications and compliance standards (IEC, NFPA, NEC, etc.).
• Proven experience designing medium and low voltage power distribution systems (switchgear, MCCs, transformers).
• Ability to review designs for compliance and safety.

About the Job:

Lumicity has partnered with a growing clean energy company based in the San Francisco Bay Area on their search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on role for an Electrical Engineer with experience designing complex electrical power systems.

This individual will lead the full product lifecycle, taking electrical power systems from concept through to validation.

This is a hands-on role for an Electrical Engineer with experience designing complex electrical power systems for industrial facilities, process plants, chemical facilities, mining operations, manufacturing sites.

The Responsibilities:

• Lead full lifecycle of electrical power systems, from conception through to validation


• Develop specifications, test plans, and validation processes.


• Review, support and make amendments to electrical system designs and schematics to ensure that compliance is passed.


• Develop technical documentation including risk assessments and compliance reports


• Design and validate low and medium voltage power systems

The Requirements:

• 4+ years' experience within electrical engineering and/or power systems specifically


• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering


• Strong understanding of electrical certifications and compliance standards (IEC, NFPA, NEC etc)


• Proven experience designing medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and associated electrical infrastructure


• Strong skillset and experience within electrical design with the ability to review and assess designs for compliance and safety


• Extensive knowledge of ETAP


• Experience supporting installation, commissioning, startup, or construction activities preferred
