Job Details

We are looking for a senior-level electrical engineer with experience in a wide range of building types. A self-starter with good communication skills is essential. Self-discipline, willingness to learn, and flexibility required. This is a hybrid position out of one of our offices in the Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, ensuring they meet customer specifications and engineering standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD to prepare and revise electrical drawings and schematics.
• Collaborate with the MEP team to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall project designs.
• Design and oversee the installation of power distribution systems.
• Develop fire alarm systems and ensure their compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct voltage drop, load flow, and short circuit analysis.
• Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during the design, implementation, or post-implementation phases.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Around 10 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Around 10 years of experience including project and client management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
