Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to design and develop electronic products from concept through production. This hands-on role focuses on circuit board design, system-level problem solving, testing, and bringing products to production, with travel up to 25%.

The engineer will design subsystems, create schematics, support PCB layout, review requirements, and develop validation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of EE experience including circuit board design.
• Ability to create and interpret schematics and wiring drawings.
• Experience using lab equipment to troubleshoot and analyze failures.
• Strong written communication for documenting technical findings.
• System integration experience across engineering disciplines.
• Experience with PCB layout and EMI/EMC testing; Altium is a plus.

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic products from initial proposals through production release. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys circuit board design, system-level problem solving, testing, and working with teams to bring products into production.

What you'll do

• Design electrical subsystems and support electronic product development from concept through production.
• Create schematics, support PCB layout, and prepare specifications, bills of materials, and assembly documentation.
• Review customer requirements and participate in design reviews.
• Develop validation plans, analyze test results, and document whether designs meet performance requirements.
• Investigate failures and product issues, determine root causes, and communicate findings in clear written reports.
• Support preproduction builds, production transfers, engineering changes, and customer technical issues.
• Work with engineering teams to address system integration and EMI/EMC considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with substantial relevant experience, or a masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of electrical engineering experience, including circuit board design.
• Ability to create and interpret schematics and wiring drawings.
• Experience using laboratory equipment to troubleshoot electronic assemblies and perform failure analysis.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to document technical findings.
• System integration experience and the ability to work across engineering disciplines.
• Experience with PCB layout, EMI/EMC testing, Altium Designer, automotive electronics, or wireless charging is a plus.
