ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (may include but are not limited to):
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately complex projects.
- Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and related materials.
- Assist in resolving design problems, including field investigations, detailed design work, and checking design computations.
- Build and maintain client relationships, managing client satisfaction.
- Participate in strategic planning and business development efforts.
- Draft cost estimates, reports on construction activities, pay estimates, and document material and quantity acceptability.
- Make design recommendations and modifications based on field conditions.
- Support marketing efforts with technical information.
- Act as a technical resource for airport and/or MEP teams regarding low voltage systems design.
- Develop low voltage design standards and templates.
- Evaluate contractor performance and compliance with documents.
- Coordinate utility infrastructure requirements into low voltage designs.
- Plan and design low voltage systems, including layouts, wiring diagrams, and equipment selection.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing feedback on workload.
- Note: Nights and weekends are generally not required, but may occasionally be necessary.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Desirable: RCDD and Infocomm CTS certifications.
- Proficiency in Revit is desirable.
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
- Experience with low voltage systems (fire alarm, security, access, video, CCTV, communications, network).
- Experience in airport projects is desirable.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

- Familiarity with TIA/EIA standards.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Good command of English language, including spelling, grammar, and vocabulary.
LICENSURE
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Professional Engineer license, with the ability to obtain Florida licensure within six months.
- Ability to become licensed in multiple states is preferred.
