Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of related experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of electronics, PLCs, radio communications and control systems.
• Broad knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles with understanding of Mechanical/Process Engineering techniques.
• Ability to research complex information and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to manage large/complex Engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice for all phases of Electrical Engineering projects.
• Develop Electrical Engineering projects using new technology to improve site safety, efficiency, cost controls and environmental protection.
• Review and develop recommendations for assigned Engineering projects.
• Manage maintenance and projects and act as SME on site planning/construction and modifications.
• Advise site management on processes, practices, and local, state and federal regulations.
• Contribute to site budgeting and strategic planning for Engineering areas.
• Develop and evaluate AFEs for capital funding requests.
• May evaluate contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
• May represent the site on steering committees or task forces.

Location: Bagdad, AZ Salary: $105,000.00 USD Annually – $135,000.00 USD Annually Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for one of the most advanced industrial site in North America. This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of Electrical Engineering projects.
• Develop Electrical Engineering projects utilizing new technology to constantly upgrade and improve site safety, efficiencies, cost controls, quality controls and protection of the environment.
• Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects
• Manage maintenance and projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansion or modifications
• Provide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations
• Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas
• Develop and evaluate AFE’s (Authorization for Expenditure) for capital funding requests
• May evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment
• May represent the site on company sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teams

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and five (5) years of related experience in Engineering or a related field, OR
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and three (3) years of related experience in Engineering or related field
• Working knowledge and experience in electronics, PLCs, radio communications and control systems
• Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of Electrical Engineering with an understanding of Mechanical and Process Engineering techniques
• Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
• Skill in managing large/complex Engineering projects
• Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written
• Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Skill in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or professional engineering (PE) certification
• Strong knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations
• Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E standards
• Experience in cost estimating for electrical projects
• Experience with project financials, including S-curves and AFEs
• Skills in developing, reviewing, and analyzing P&IDs and electrical drawings
