Job summary

IDOM USA is seeking a technical leader to head a group of engineers delivering detailed electrical engineering on multiple projects. The role includes serving as the client interface for electrical matters and coordinating a hybrid office schedule with some travel.

Responsibilities include leading teams, performing calculations, defining equipment specs, and advancing processes and methods. 10+ years in Industrial/Energy, PE license preferred, with SKM/ETAP experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial, Energy Generation, BESS, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of engineers on detailed electrical engineering across multiple projects.
• Interface with clients on electrical technical matters and define options to solve problems.
• Perform complex calculations, equipment specs, and drawings (e.g., single-line diagrams).
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff and coordinate with external parties as needed.
• Make independent engineering decisions and communicate best solutions to the team.

Job description

We are looking for a technical leader in this field to technically lead a group of engineers developing detailed engineering on several projects and being the client interface for electrical technical matters. While this is an office-based hybrid position some travel may be required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assignments will be varied and can include such items as equipment selection and specification preparation, calculations, single line diagram definition, grounding, arc flash studies, power plans distribution, vendor technical management, etc.
• Prepare/Review calculations and equipment specifications.
• Execute complex assignments requiring the use of advanced techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment and/or technological methods.
• Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members. Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel.
• The position will require an ability to make independent decisions on engineering problems and methods, define options, and articulate the best solution(s) to the team.

Minimum Academic & Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial, Energy Generation, BESS, or projects.

Preferred Requirements

• SKM and ETAP experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License

Key Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of power systems protection, low-medium voltage engineering, underground systems, cables selection and routing, grounding, lightning shielding is preferred.
• Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards.
• $150k-$190k per year, depending on all candidate factors, such as qualifications, experience level, etc.
