Job summary

IDOM USA is seeking an electrical engineer with strong design skills to help develop detailed engineering for several projects. This office-based hybrid role may require some travel.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and at least 5 years in industrial, energy generation, or related projects. SKM/ETAP experience is preferred. The firm offers a collaborative, multicultural environment with long-term growth.

• Prepare/Review basic calculations and equipment specifications.
• Execute assignments requiring the use of advanced engineering techniques, with support and guidance as needed
• Provide opinion and explanation, as part of attending internal standups or external meetings or corresponds with clients or outside personnel.

Job description

We are looking for an electrical engineer, strong in design, to assist in developing detailed engineering on several projects. While this is an office-based hybrid position some travel may be required.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Assignments will be varied and can include such items as equipment selection and specification preparation, calculations, single line diagram definition, grounding, arc flash studies, power plans distribution, vendor technical management, etc.
• Prepare/Review basic calculations and equipment specifications.
• Execute assignments requiring the use of advanced engineering techniques, with support and guidance as needed
• Provide opinion and and explanation, as part of attending internal standups or external meetings or corresponds with clients or outside personnel.

Minimum Academic & Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial, Energy Generation, BESS, or similar projects.

Preferred Requirements

• SKM and ETAP experience preferred.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of power systems protection, low-medium voltage engineering, underground systems, cables selection and routing, grounding, lightning shielding is preferred.
• Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards.
• $110k-$150k per year, depending on all candidate factors, such as qualifications, experience level, etc.
