Precis is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Ambler, PA office. This individual must have a background in electrical engineering and a thorough understanding of power systems and lighting design in commercial and light industrial markets. We are looking for a resourceful and goal-oriented individual who desires challenging work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical engineering services to design complete power distribution systems supporting facility expansions, renovations, remediation, and new construction projects from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Design all aspects of building electrical systems including power for equipment, emergency generator systems, grounding, receptacles, lighting, controls, and other related building components.
• Design complete building lighting systems including associated lighting system switching and controls.
• Prepare load analysis, short circuit studies, overcurrent protection coordination studies and arc flash studies.
• Receive supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Receive direction on unusual conditions and developments.
• Independently apply knowledge and experience to coordinate detailed aspects of the design and to prepare complete project documents, including the development of details, control sequences, and specifications. Identify opportunities to develop new techniques and improve standards and processes.
• Select and provide detailed specifications for all electrical equipment.
• Coordinate design with engineers of other disciplines including mechanical, plumbing, process, life safety, etc.) and with project architects.
• Supervise all levels of team members to complete project assignments in alignment with scope, schedules, and budgets. Provide thorough review of documents for conformity with project assignments and quality assurance.
• Periodically visit project sites to survey existing conditions and observe construction activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of industry engineering experience
• Strong computer literacy with advanced knowledge and use of Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
• Experience with SKM Power Tools or other electrical engineering software.
• Advanced knowledge of local and national applicable codes, industry standards and guidelines
• Experience with critical environments and related building systems
• Experience with medium voltage power distribution systems and data center experience a plus
• Professional Engineer license

Education / Licenses

BS degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering, and minimum EIT certified, PE Preferred
