Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a senior systems engineer with 8+ years of experience in electrical, aerospace or systems engineering to lead end-to-end development of autonomous defense systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prototype and test complex robotic systems, and ensure software-hardware integration while supporting travel up to 25% and pursuing a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in electrical, aerospace or systems engineering.
• Comfort with systems modeling tools such as Cameo.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies in an Agile environment.
• Hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting and build experience of complex robotic systems.
• Experience developing automated test scripts using Python or MATLAB.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to a positive, inclusive, collaborative culture.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% and to work onsite at Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead development for an end-to-end solution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and system architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain system components that meet functional and performance requirements in complex system environments.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications in a distributed systems context.
• Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
• Collaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
